Heckendorn is SACA Executive Director
Former banking executive Thomas Heckendorn has been named Executive Director of the Southeastern Arizona Contractors Association, the Sierra Vista-based chapter of the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association.
Heckendorn brings over 28 years of experience to the Association in senior management and real estate lending. His financial background included positions as Vice President or Senior Vice President for California banks such as Carver Savings & Loan, Rancho Bernardo Savings, North County Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank. Among his responsibilities were strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, construction lending and regulatory compliance.
He will oversee SACA's 120 local members and work closely with SACA President Bob Kirk. Heckendorn is a past member of the Building Industry Association of San Diego/Riverside. He reports to SAHBA President Ed Taczanowsky in Tucson.
SAHBA represents about 750 member businesses and 40,000 jobs serving the residential construction industry in Pima and Cochise counties.
