SACA and the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) joined forces by merger on January 1, 2005, to strengthen the political and economic impact of the region's building industry. SACA is a Chapter of SAHBA, with over 120 members rolled into SAHBA's significant organizational, political, community service, and educational structure.
SACA, formed in 1977, represents a diverse group of construction-related businesses in Cochise County; including general contractors, sub-contractors and specialty contractors, suppliers and equipment companies, and professionals and associates. SACA's mission is to improve the quality of representation for the construction industry in Southeastern Arizona.
SAHBA joins together over 125 builders plus 650 associate members to exchange information through networking, education, committees, seminars, trade shows, and government liaison.
The merger is a natural alliance since both SACA and SAHBA face many of the same industry issues. As Southern Arizona grows, more developers and builders are doing business in both markets.
Nationally, SACA is allied with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), which includes more than 800 associations like SACA and SAHBA. This alliance provides SACA's members access to national trends in housing and the strength in numbers to impact local and national housing policy.
