More about our speaker:

Shaun Phillips is the CEO at Canyon Vista Medical Center, part of LifePoint Health. He also served as COO at Havasu Regional Medical Center while with LifePoint. Prior to joining LifePoint, he spent 10 years in executive leadership for Bronson Healthcare Group, a not-for-profit, integrated health system operating in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana. Additionally, he had nearly 10 years of experience in various pharmacy leadership roles at Trinity Health, a multi-state, Catholic healthcare organization.

Shaun holds a Doctor of Pharmacy and completed Honors undergraduate work with highest distinction from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan. He completed internship and a PGY1 residency with a focus in cardiac pharmacology at Mercy Health Partners in Muskegon, Michigan. He also received intensive research training in pharmaceutics and pharmacology with The Upjohn/Pharmacia Company, Perrigo Manufacturing, and Michigan State University. He also holds an MBA in integrated management from Michigan State University. Recently, he completed requirements to be a Certified Professional in Patient Safety and earned Fellow status with the American College of Healthcare Executives.

In addition to his executive responsibilities, he serves as professor for administrative pharmacy at Ferris State University, course coordinator in Financial Planning for Health Institution Leaders program at the University of Wyoming, and holds various advisory functions at academic institutions. He is active with the Knight of Columbus in addition to other health-related charities and outreach programs.

He lives in Sierra Vista with his wife, Yanny, a practicing neurologist. They have three daughters. The family are all avid hikers and stay active in various school/community sports.
